While we accept that government is a continuum, by no means should any responsible administration accept without any form of recourse or examination the reckless actions deliberately done by previous administrations especially that of Rochas Okorocha that was characterized by serial abuse of power and zero Respect for court rulings. The ensuing imbroglio in the state between Independent Petroleum marketers and the state government is another of the myriad problems created by Okorocha for the Imo State Government, and as at today, Imolites are bearing the brunt. Seven members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have resigned from office. The party’s National Organising Secretary, Colonel Austin Akobundu (retd), confirmed this on Tuesday. But he said those who resigned from their offices are deputy members of the party’s NWC. However, they were thought to have taken the action to put pressure on the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus, to vacate his position. Those who resigned include: Deputy National Financial Secretary; Deputy Legal Adviser; Deputy National Auditor; Deputy National Publicity Secretary; Deputy Women Leader and the Deputy Organising Secretary. The leadership of Apc after deliberations set Saturday 31st July 2021 as the date for ward congress in the nation. That of Imo was embodied with litigations from expunged members of the party during the last elections .  The embattled former Governor Senator Rochas okorocha ,  who is yet to revalidate his membership in the party together with his sympathizers has made frantic efforts to frustrate the  proceedings of the party towards fairness, justice, inclusiveness and equity . The efforts of the charade was grounded when an FCT HIGH COURT dismissed the injunction seeking to halt the congress .  IMO STAKEHOLDERS OBSERVE A MINUTE SILENCE IN HONOR OF VICTIMS OF IMO SECURITY CRISIS.  Today at the ongoing Stakeholders meeting convened by Gov. Hope Uzodimma, a minute  silence in honour of victims of the insecurity crisis that rocked Imo State in the recent times was observed.  In emotion laden words, Gov. Hope Uzodimma expressed sympathy for the families of those who lost their loved ones during the carnage. "Some of the security operatives paid the supreme sacrifice in the process, some of our people also died in the course of achieving peace. I have already responded on your behalf to assist families to cushion the trauma to their deaths. Our prayer remains that God grants their souls eternal rest.  According to Gov. UZODIMMA PREACHES PEACE & UNITY AS HE CELEBRATES SALLAH WITH THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY  In the spirit of the *Sallah* Celebration: the feast of sacrifice, Governor Hope Uzodimma preaches peace and unity amongst Hausa and the Yoruba Muslims in the State.  Imo state Government has recovered ibc properties at orji in Owerri north local Goverment area covering a total of 48 hectare of land. Some of these lands are currently being developed by aides of former Governor Rochas Okorocha. The recovery is in line with the white paper recommendations.
