BREAKING:TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION AS SENATOR FRANK IBEZIM REWARD 18 PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS WITH CASH

 The Distinguished Senator representing Imo North Senatorial District, Senator Frank Ibezim honoured eighteen (18) Primary School Teachers with Certificates Of Participation and Cash Rewards for their successful participation in the 2021



Teachers' Day Essay Competition championed and sponsored by the Senator. The event took place on the 12th of November, 2021, at the Senator Frank Ibezim (SFI) Constituency Headquarters in Okigwe Local Government Area.



The Primary School teachers who participated in the Essay Competition titled “Why Are Classroom Libraries Important to Schools?” were selected from three (3) Primary Schools from each of the six (6) Local Government Areas of Imo North.




The contest is an integral part of the Classroom Library Project developed by the Okocha Sisters, Renee Okocha and Zara Okocha, through their "I Am the Future of Nigeria youth Initiative" (IFON), which is a registered non-governmental organization (NGO). 



You will recall that on the 24th of May 2021, Senator Frank Ibezim formally launched the Classroom Library project in Okigwe and Ehime Local Government Areas respectively.


The great initiative described as visionary by all and sundry has so far received the full support and endorsements of the Imo State Governor, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, the principal officers of the National Assembly, and the Presidency.



It is meant to revive the reading culture in our pupils, renovation and remodelling of libraries at the primary school levels, as well as revamping related infrastructure at the institutions.


The certificates and cash rewards were presented to the awardees at a 

ceremony organised by the constituency head office of the Distinguished Senator in Okigwe, Imo State.


The elated and highly motivated teachers were accompanied to the ceremony by their school heads and the Local Government Area Education Secretaries of the Six Local Government Areas who witnessed the presentation.


They described the rewards and recognition accorded to them by Senator Ibezim as an extraordinary and kind gesture and the first of its kind in the history of representation in Okigwe Zone.
